Vertex Source only on the left side/ Sink on the right side / Tree Layout

Hey there,

I have to visualize a Traceroute with different hops from a startpoint (source) to an endpoint (sink).

I have 75 Vertices and 216 edges. The Problem is (regardless which Tree Generation Algorithm I use to create the Tree) the start node is on the left side, the end node is in the middle and 40 nodes are on the right side.

I need something like that:


In addition the layout overlap removal algorithms also take no effect.

the graph looks like this at the moment:


...the graph continues on the left side.

If I limit the count of "paths" through the network, it looks a little bit better.

Another thing are the overlapping paths (the algorithm to remove overlapping paths is enabled) .

Should I use another graph than the BidirectionalGraph?
