Set the IsAnimationEnabled property of your GraphLayout instance to false.

Disabling only the graph destruction animation: gl.DestructionTransition = null

Disabling only the animation when vertices change their position: gl.MoveAnimation = null

Well my problem didn't get solved...

let me make it more clear:

I have a button that displays the Tree diagram, with a specific calculation.

when i click on another button, it should load the new tree in the same place, with removing the old one.

any idea how to redraw a new tree diagram in the same place as the old one?

thanks in advance..

Could you attach some pictures about the problem?

If you direct to the link below:

The "ONE" is the fist tree that is displayed.

then "Two" is the second tree that should be displayed, as u can see, they are overlapped untill the animation ends and removes the "ONE" tree.

I've just checked in some minor changes that will solve your problem (if you follow my instructions, your ONE graph will be disappear immediately).

Get the latest source (from the hg repo), and build the project, update the Graph# references in your own project, then in your xaml set the DestructionTransition={x:Null} of your graph layout control (you don't need to set the isanimationenabled property to false).

Hope this helps.
